EME DE VRIES

Emé is the founder and acting director of Minerva Private. While she has lived in Grand Cayman for 20 years, she grew up in Paris where she studied at the Sorbonne and ICART, graduating with a BA in Culture and Arts Management. She moved to the UK and studied modern languages and philosophy at the University of St Andrews and King’s College London. For several years she was a board level executive PA at Michelin UK but her real experience is in fine art and antiques. For over 30 years she has worked closely with private collectors, institutions and galleries such as the Salon de Mars, the Louvre des Antiquaires, the Galerie G P & N Vallois and the National Gallery of the Cayman Islands.

Emé comes from a historic French family of prominent shipowners from Bordeaux on one side and, on the other, founders of one of the most revered porcelain manufacturers in Limoges. Tradition, elegance and savoir vivre are, therefore, matters which have always been close to her heart.
