HOME MANAGEMENT

We care for your properties whether they are empty or rented, ensuring that you and your guests are comfortable, happy and truly “at home”. Speaking four languages, our team can also help with foreign communication and administration.

Our property services are called ‘Home Management’ for a reason: we look beyond the bricks and mortar that make a building or the sticks and stones that make up furniture. We try to understand how these physical materials create a ‘home’ for you, your family and your guests: how they contribute to your sense of well-being, comfort and safety – your feeling of being ‘at home’.  This is the starting point for our home management services.

Just as everyone is different, every home is different. We work with you, therefore, to build a bespoke home management protocol for you and your property.

For private homes:

  • we can provide someone to look after you and your home, from a few hours a week to a full-time, dedicated resource, in each case fully trained at the Minerva Academy
  • we can help to organise your home for stress-free daily operation and put maintenance and operating protocols in place so that your household functions more smoothly (training your helper or domestic staff as required in order to help them help you better)
  • we can help with absence and storm management (see below).

For private homes and rental properties, we can provide Absence Management services whether it is for 10 days or 10 months. As with our other services, this involves creating a bespoke protocol which would usually cover regular inspections to check that everything is in order, tend to plants, timers, etc., as well as managing and supervising maintenance work and repairmen. Part of our service is to ensure that, when you return, your house is not just clean and functioning but that it is ready as a home, with groceries, fresh linens and whatever else you might need.

For private homes and rental properties, we can provide Storm Management services. As with our other services, this involves creating a bespoke protocol so that as soon as the island is placed under Hurricane Watch, the securing of your property can be effected in a planned, organised and efficient manner. Some elements would typically be undertaken directly by our team, while others will involve coordinating with your other service providers and your own staff. For rental properties, we would assist your rental guests to take the necessary precautions and will stay in touch with them until the danger has passed.

All our staff are trained at the Minerva Academy to the Minerva Standard; they perform their duties with skill and care, and with respect for our clients and the homes they have worked to create.

If something needs to be organised, our PA team can handle it; if there is something unique or precious to be aware of in the home, we can train or get Minerva Academy-trained personnel to take care of it; if there is some extra that crops up in your calendar – a cocktail party or smart dinner – our Butler team can help you with it. Our team is more diverse and our skills and experience are broader than those of any other property manager on island.
